HOME-GROWN EDTECH COMPANIES ALLiN & JULES TO OFFER S$20M IN FREE ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAMS
SINGAPORE, 4 MAY 2020 – Today, more than 1.5 billion children are out of school due to the unprecedented disruption in education caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This crisis has had the greatest impact on our youngest generation, for whom every month is crucial in their developmental phase. The urgent demand for innovative content and technology to meet their educational needs has never been more pressing.
Singapore, renowned for its world-class education system, supported by a robust ecosystem of online and offline educational companies, is poised to play a pivotal role in addressing this global challenge. Nations like Estonia have already set a precedent by sharing their online educational resources with other COVID-hit countries.
While it is a significant challenge to unify Singapore’s fragmented educational ecosystem to offer a holistic and coherent solution, the current circumstances present a unique opportunity. As online learning becomes the new normal, we foresee a closer partnership between the public and private education sectors, dedicated to the advancement of education technology both within Singapore and globally.
Driven by their ethos as social enterprises and global aspirations, ALLiN & JULES have jointly stepped forward to lead this initiative. They are confident that, together, they can rally the support of other educational companies to achieve this objective.
ALLiN will provide access to their research-backed and award-winning “Jnrlink – Multi-sensorial Story-Based Language Series” to any preschool or parents globally for the rest of the year.
JULES will offer their proprietary and award-winning “School of Fish” Digital Literacy online program to any preschool or parents worldwide for the remainder of the year.
This collaborative effort aims to ensure that children everywhere continue to receive quality education during these challenging times, reinforcing Singapore’s commitment to fostering global educational development.
