JNRLINK® RECOGNISED BY INTERNATIONAL RYBAKOV PRIZE

SINGAPORE, 3 FEB 2020 – In a landmark achievement, Jnrlink has become the first Asian education technology solution to be short-listed for the prestigious International Rybakov Prize. Out of a competitive pool of 450 applicants, Jnrlink emerged as one of only 16 chosen to present their innovative solutions in Moscow, Russia.

The finals, held from 1 to 2 February 2020, brought together a diverse group of finalists from across the globe, including representatives from Russia, Australia, Finland, Armenia, Switzerland, and the United States. This esteemed event provided a platform for leading educational innovators to showcase their groundbreaking work. Representing ALLiN, Director Jason Ng was present to discuss Jnrlink’s significant impact on education in various parts of Asia, highlighting the platform’s achievements and potential.

While in Russia, Mr. Ng had the opportunity to meet with Singapore’s Ambassador to Russia, H.E. Premjith Sadasivan. This meeting underscored the importance of international cooperation and the exchange of educational advancements between countries.

The International Rybakov Prize was established in 2019 by philanthropists Ekaterina and Igor Rybakov. The prize aims “to inspire the next generation of philanthropists by fostering investment in schools, teachers, and educational systems.” The annual prize of US$1.2 million, administered by the Rybakov Foundation, has been dubbed the “Nobel Prize for Education” due to its significance and impact.

During the finals, Jason Ng presented Jnrlink’s innovative approach to education technology, focusing on its effectiveness in improving educational outcomes in diverse Asian contexts. The presentation emphasized Jnrlink’s commitment to leveraging technology to create accessible, high-quality education for all children, particularly in underserved regions.
