ALLIN JOINS CAPITALAND’S INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER EXPEDITION TO ZHEJIANG, CHINA

SINGAPORE, 26 SEP 2020

ALLiN Edutech Group has joined with CapitaLand on its International Volunteer Expedition to Zhejiang, China, bringing its Jnrlink® English curriculum to China’s northeast region for the first time. The expedition, which saw ALLiN staff working together with more than 50 CapitaLand volunteers, took place from 21 to 23 September 2019.

Two of ALLiN trainers were a part of the advanced party which was already on the ground at the CapitaLand Xiecun Hope School on 19 September to introduce the Jnrlink® English curriculum to the school’s teachers and conduct pre-programme assessments for 33 Primary 1 and 2 students.

This assessment, an adapted version of the research assessment conducted by Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education for ALLiN’s project in Guizhou, aimed to determine the students’ focus and attention span, memory, learning ability, and language ability before the curriculum is formally introduced.

The school’s teachers also witnessed first-hand the way that Jnrlink® can be used to enhance the learning experience of students in school as a supplementary curriculum that gives their students a head start in their learning journeys.

Founded in August 1986, the CapitaLand Xiecun Hope School is situated in Songyang county in Zhejiang’s Lishui City, about four hours’ drive from Zhejiang’s capital city Hangzhou. It is the only primary school in its village.

ALLiN would like to thank the CapitaLand Hope Foundation for inviting us to be a part of their 27th International Volunteer Expedition to Zhejiang, China.
